Behemoth - Grom - LP
Label: Metal Mind Records
Price: 21.99 Euro
Vinyl edition of the second studio album by the best black/death metal band from Poland – Behemoth!
This Polish black/death metal band from Gdansk was formed in 1991 as a trio, with Nergal on guitar and vocals, Baal on the drums, and Desecrator on the guitar.
Until the late 1990s, the band played a traditional black metal style with heathen lyrical content, but soon changed to that of occult and thelemic themes written by their lead vocalist Nergal and Krzysztof Azarewicz.
With the release of the album "Satanica" (1999), the band demonstrated their presence in the death metal scene, while retaining their own signature style characterized by the drum work of Inferno, multi-layered vocals and Middle-Eastern influences.
"Grom" (1996) is the only album on which polish lyrics, female vocals, acoustic guitars and synthesizers can be found.
By the time this record was released the band started to be recognized outside the underground scene, by touring for the first time in Europe, during which they gained their stage experience and esteem among growing numbers of their fans.
This record is considered to be one of the milestones of one of world's best and most popular metal bands.
